Board the Celebrity Eclipse® in scenic Barcelona for a memorable, 13-night Western Mediterranean cruise to ports in Italy, Montenegro, Croatia and Malta. Begin in Barcelona, Spain, known for its vibrant Catalan culture and the unmistakable architecture of Antoni Gaudi, including Sagrada Familia. Enjoy
smooth sailing during a day at sea, then make your next stop in Livorno. This prime port is ideal for trips to nearby Pisa — site of the famous Leaning Tower — and Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance. Continue to the eternal city of Rome, renowned for its historic sculptures, artworks and architectural feats, including the Colosseum, the Pantheon and all the marvels of Vatican City. Your next stop is in Naples, Italy — known as one of the world’s oldest inhabited regions, dating back to the Bronze Age. The Naples we know today is home to historic churches, art collections and archeological museums.
Spend a relaxing day at sea before you dock in Kotor, Montenegro, a well-preserved medieval town on the Adriatic coast, with architecture dating back to the 9th century. The next day, head to Zadar, Croatia, the oldest continually inhabited city in Croatia. Historical monuments include the 9th-century Church of St. Donatus, Zadar Cathedral — also known as Cathedral of St. Anastasia — and the Gold and Silver of Zadar museum. From there, head to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to spend two days exploring the city’s scenic shoreline, centuries-old walls, and distinctive terracotta-roofed villages.
After a relaxing day at sea, dock in Valletta, Malta’s stunning capital city. Valletta was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1980, due to its cultural value and history as a military outpost. The city features extensive examples of Renaissance architecture built by the Catholic knights of the Order of St. John. From there, spend another day at sea before returning to Barcelona, Spain, and disembark.
